Tier upgrade
How to request a higher tier. Lower tiers stay available, so enabling Cybersecurity does not remove Regular behavior.
Quick path
- Open the dashboard and choose the tier: Roleplay or Cybersecurity.
- Complete the check: age assurance for Roleplay, identity plus domain control for Cybersecurity.
- On success the tier is enabled on your account. On failure you stay on Regular.

| Topic | Decision |
|---|---|
| Roleplay | 18 and over, Sumsub age assurance. Merki pays the check. Retries after 24 hours. See Age and identity. |
| Cybersecurity | Sumsub identity verification plus a DNS TXT or .merki challenge per hostname (max 7 days, no wildcards, no subdomain propagation). See Cybersecurity verification. |
| Downgrade | Tiers are not removed; access is additive. To stop using a tier, stop requesting it. Verification records are kept per the retention matrix. |
| Enterprise | Volume onboarding and invoicing go through enterprise@merki.dev. See Enterprise. |

- [ ] Each hostname you need is verified on its own.
- [ ] Challenges are renewed before the 7-day maximum.
